**Total Support Services is looking for Disability Support Workers in the Mount Marshall, area You will be supporting our client to access the community and develop their independent living skills**

As we are growing and need workers to support our clients, may start of a little slow but will get busy.

**Your role**:
Our mission is always to find the right support worker for our participants. That means that we will try to find someone you will get along with and who needs your skills to be ideally supported. Therefore, you can cultivate a friendly and successful relationship with your client.

You will provide care to your clients living in the community, supporting their independence and improving their life quality.. interacting one-on-one with clients, completing activities that may include but are not limited to:

- In-home personal care, daily living assistance, including showering, personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning, laundry & ironing.
- Providing care following the client’s individualised Care and Meal Plan.
- Supporting with community-based recreational and social activities.
- Promote independence and community participation at every opportunity
- Provide support and supervision for people in the home or workplace.
- Maximise our clients' physical and mental well-being.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Provide services as directed by the Individual Client Support Plans and document case notes.

All service delivery must be in line with the Policies and Procedures of Total Support Services and the requirements of NDIS Practice Standards. And if you show commitment and dedication, you are destined to succeed in your career at Total Support Services.

**What are we looking for?**
- Certificate III in Disability / Aged Care or a minimum of 3 years experience in the field
- Previous experience in working with People with Disabilities
- Current ‘C’ class driver’s license
- Certificate in Manual Handling
- Current working with children clearance
- Certificate in First Aid
- Blue Card
- Professionalism, reliability and dedication
- Covid-19 Vaccinated

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: From $34.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- Public holidays
- Shift work
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Penalty rates

COVID-19 considerations:
All staff must be fully vaccinated to be considered for a role

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Townsville, QLD: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (required)
- Working with Children Check (required)
- Driver Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)
