**About the role**

Reporting to the Licensing and Compliance Specialist, the Licensing and Compliance Advisor is responsible for coordinating the management of all licensing requirements across the retail network at Ampol. This role will be crucial in maintaining Ampol’s brand and reputation by driving better efficiencies and compliance through proactive management whilst ensuring sites are able to operate in accordance with regulatory guidelines - particularly with local, state, and federal regulatory bodies that the Ampol retail business engages with.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Ensure coordination, integrity, and transparency of licencing across the Retail network.
- Maintain current knowledge of legislation changes whilst ensuring compliance to licensing and permits.
- Responsible for all licencing documentation to comply with regulatory/council requirements.
- Proactively liaise with and manage external stakeholders, including regulators to ensure the best outcome for Ampol.
- Compile monthly reporting on licensing required, whilst maintaining data integrity in execution and conducting required analytics to ensure clarity and understanding.
- Support in the investigation of potential compliance or licence breaches, as well as coordinate and follow up on any escalation processes for regulatory bodies.
- Manage the registration program of LPG/Air pressure vessels whilst ensuring compliance with relevant state based safe work guidelines.
- Manage programs such as trade waste/backflow prevention programs ensuring control measures are registered and in place with relevant authorities.
- Establish appropriate maintenance/test schedules to keep assets operating at standards and minimise environmental impacts of trade waste.

**About you**

You will be a confident, detail orientated and self-directed multi-tasker, who has an analytical mindset whilst bringing strong business administrative and relationship building skills to the role. This role would suit an individual who has had experience in retail, hospitality or the QSR space of a multi-site management business or previous exposure in store management within a retail/convenience space. Being comfortable to engage with external regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders, whilst challenging business partners and remaining compliant towards licensing and industry standards is essential to the role. Strong written and verbal communication skills is a must. You will be an operations expert, supporting store operations as required in this space.

**Key skills and experience**
- Proven practical experience in retail operations, hospitality, or Fuels/Oil industry - ideally, with a strong business administrative background.
- Experience in data governance, project management and effectively influencing regulatory bodies is highly desirable.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritise and display high level written and verbal communication skills.
- High appetite for continuous improvement, detail orientated and problem solving.
- Confident to collaborate with various stakeholders externally and internally to achieve operational outcomes and maintain the Ampol brand.
- A team player with the ability to work independently/autonomously.
- Intermediate to advanced MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams and Microsoft Office SharePoint skills is ideal.
