**The Role**
JPEU is seeking a motivated individual to fulfil the role of Surveyor within the Data Acquisition Support (DAS) team at Proof Experimental Establishment (P&EE) in Port Wakefield.
The Surveyor will work on an Explosive Ordnance range with the DAS team, utilising survey equipment and technology to ensure the accuracy of test equipment at test sites. The Surveyor will site weapons systems and test sites to assist the DAS team with data collection from ballistic tracking radars and associated systems.
Key position responsibilities:
- Ensure the accuracy of survey data including measurements and calculations
- Provide survey services to ensure the accurate location and layout of work for Test and Evaluation services
- Collect relevant data for range trials and tasks, and save the data into appropriate formats for reporting functions
Employment at Port Wakefield includes a Special Distance Locality Assistance allowance, $309.85 respectively per fortnight.
**About our Team**
P&EE Port Wakefield carries out Test and Evaluation activities for a diverse range of various calibre munitions and other explosive ordnance. The Establishment captures performance data of the munitions, and provides that information on behalf of Defence.
The DAS Team is critical in this process as they provide the necessary resources for the conduct of test and evaluation across numerous activities by static and dynamically functioned explosives ordnance and weapons. The broader team utilise systems such as ballistic tracking radar, high speed video cameras and associated equipment to track the rounds or event when the Explosive Ordnance is dynamically fired or statically tested the munitions.

The right person for this role will show the flexibility to respond to the changing context and shifting priorities of JPEU, to achieve business outcomes. In this role, the individual will provide support to a geographically dispersed team.
