About us
The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) is a jurisdiction within the Court Services Victoria statutory authority, and has a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts across the state.
The Court determines in excess of 300,000 cases per annum at 51 venues, equating to approximately 90 per cent of all cases that come before Victorian courts each year. The Court aims to be an innovative, accessible and responsive court that provides quality services to the Victorian community.
About the role
The Specialist Client Service Officer is responsible for providing an appropriate and timely response to enquiries and information requests into the MCV Service Centre for the intervention order jurisdiction. The role will engage directly with court users and partner agencies to provide information regarding court hearings, engaging with parties to collect sensitive information, and to support referrals to legal and family violence support services. Our Magistrates' Court of Victoria Service Centre is located in the CBD and there are hybrid working arrangements available.
About you
- You have professional experience with an administrative or customer service role and have a passion for improving service delivery and enhancing court user experience.
- You have an interest in the legal system, particularly with the intervention order jurisdiction.
- You have excellent communication skills, attention to detail and enjoy working as part of a team.
- Interested in a role which offers flexible work arrangements, including working from home opportunities, part-time and/or flexible working hours.
