Established in 1850, St Andrew’s School is Adelaide’s leading co-educational, independent early years and primary school. The School provides excellence in educational experiences for over 500 students from ELC to Year 6 and recently attained the State’s highest NAPLAN results. The breadth of opportunities for students is diverse and expansive, all located on a beautiful campus on the fringe of Adelaide’s CBD. As a prominent International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, students are inspired to contemplate, innovate and contribute to diverse communities as valued, global citizens.

The recently opened and award-winning $6.2m Tarrkarri (Kaurna word for _the_ _future_) building empowers a new generation of students in learner-centred, state-of-the-art environments, including the new STEM facility (‘The Collaboratory’) which fosters a culture of innovation, entrepreneurship and collaboration. The adjoining outdoor learning space includes a giant treehouse, caves for quiet contemplation and a quarry full of treasures for children to unearth, all co-designed by St Andrew’s students.

The successful applicant will play a crucial leadership role in enhancing the academic opportunities and outcomes for all learners. This will include oversight and development of enrichment and intervention programs, independent learning plans and the leadership of a strong team of learning support assistants.

Reporting to the newly appointed Deputy Principal, David Hodges and working closely with the contemporary leadership team including new Principal, Luke Ritchie, this role will enable positive learning experiences and outcomes for all students at St Andrew’s School. This is a career defining opportunity suited to a proven educator and will interface with students, teachers, families and external stakeholders to tailor world class educational and wellbeing offerings.
