**Vascular Surgery Fellow / Unaccredited Registrar**

**1x Full Time Fixed Term position
- 03 February 2025 - 01 February 2026**

The Royal Melbourne Hospital is seeking either one full time Vascular Surgery Fellow or one full time Unaccredited Vascular Surgery Registrars for 12 months of 2025, commencing 3rd February 2025 to 2nd February 2026.

The Royal Melbourne is one of Victoria’s largest hospitals providing a comprehensive range of health services including acute, sub-acute, general, and specialist medical services throughout inpatient and community-based facilities. We are also a proud part of the world-renowned Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, working in collaboration to advance research for continuous improvement of clinical care.

**Unit Description**:
The Royal Melbourne Hospital Vascular Surgery Unit is the oldest specialist vascular unit in Victoria. We are a collaborative and supportive team, and have a modern hybrid operating suite facility, enabling advanced and comprehensive vascular treatment.

**About the role**:
We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team. This is a Full Time, Fixed Term position, based at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, Parkville Campus. The term in Vascular Surgery will be 12 consecutive months. The position is suitable for either a Post-Fellowship surgeon seeking to develop further clinical and operative expertise before commencing independent practice, or, for a PGYR3+ doctor wishing to develop and/or maintain expertise in clinical vascular surgery, concurrent with examination preparation, or research.

A successful applicant will be required to provide high standards of clinical care and appropriate supervision of junior hospital medical officers. Participation in the afterhours 1:3 on call roster is expected. Preference will be given to a suitable Post-Fellowship applicant.

**About You**:

- Registration with (or eligible for registration) with the Medical Board of Australia
- Appropriate health professional tertiary qualification/s - MBBS
- Recognised as demonstrating particular subspecialty interest and aptitude in vascular surgery.
- Experience in clinical research would be advantageous.
- Well-developed communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
