**About Liquor & Gaming NSW**

Liquor & Gaming NSW administers the regulatory framework for the liquor, gaming, wagering, casino and registered clubs sectors in NSW. This includes undertaking compliance and enforcement activities, providing policy advice to government, licensing certain activities and delivering industry support and education activities.

Manage and coordinate the development and implementation of strategic and robust audit programs across a range of regulated entities, including in the casino industry, to achieve Hospitality & Racing’s audit objectives, and to drive auditing capability and culture across the branch.

**Essential Requirements**
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or demonstrated equivalent relevant professional experience.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Manage and coordinate the development and implementation of regulatory audit programs to ensure Hospitality & Racing’s regulatory objectives are met.
- Coordinate detailed audits, reviews, and other analysis and the reporting of findings and recommendations.
- Review business processes to ascertain whether they are appropriate and sufficiently robust to support regulatory activities that reflect current Government and Hospitality & Racing policy.
- Monitor and review audit documentation and supporting material for audits, including audit proposals, audit plans, audit worksheets and working papers and audit reports.
- Lead working groups for the development and implementation of auditing policies, procedures and programs to meet agreed objectives.
- Undertake research, analysis and review of complex issues, identifying emerging issues and trends, and developing evidence-based options and strategies, to ensure problems are resolved and risks are mitigated.
- Provide expert specialist advice and assistance to staff and senior managers, on quality and assurance issues to ensure consistency with policies and procedures and best practice standards.
- Lead consultation and engagement with stakeholders to negotiate and influence outcomes, to manage issues, and to build awareness and capability in the team to ensure regulatory objectives are met.
