**Position Overview**:
As a Disability Support Worker at Life Purpose Australia, you will have the opportunity to directly impact the lives of individuals with disabilities by providing tailored support that promotes independence, inclusion, and well-being. We are seeking compassionate and reliable individuals to join us on a casual basis, with a minimum commitment of two hours per week.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide direct support to individuals with disabilities in activities of daily living, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Assist individuals in accessing community resources and participating in social and recreational activities.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that respects the rights, choices, and dignity of each individual.
- Collaborate with individuals, their families, and other members of the support team to develop and implement personalized support plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation of support provided, including progress notes and incident reports.
- Adhere to all organizational policies, procedures, and standards of practice.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Previous experience in disability support or a related field is advantageous.
- Experience in early childhood education or studying early childhood education is preferred.
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle are a must.
- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or a relevant qualification is desirable.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with individuals and their families.
- Strong commitment to upholding the rights and dignity of individuals with disabilities.
**Working Conditions**:
- Casual position with flexible hours.
- Minimum commitment of two hours per week, with the potential for additional hours based on availability and client needs.
- Work may include evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

**Salary**: $33.00 - $36.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2 - 6 per week
