Our client provides a wide range of chemical water treatment services and engineering solutions globally. They are well represented nationally and in order to achieve their growth strategies, are seeking a Sales Manager, based in Perth. From chemical treatment, to waste water and reprocess, filtration plants, and the production of specialised cleaning chemicals, they are equipped to serve a wide variety of industries and with Australian manufacturing plants, can do this swiftly. Along with a strong professional ethos and environmental commitment, this organisation can provide a platform for you to truly make a name for yourself and develop your career.
In this newly created role, you will be managing a team of 7 Technical Account Managers in Western Australia to grow and maintain accounts. You will sell products to mining end users and potential customers in WA, SA and NT. This person will also implement and manage a global key account for an alumina customer.
This role does require travel and when you are not travelling, you will work from a home based office.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Degree qualified Chemical Engineer, Chemist or Metallurgist or similar
- Background in alumina is viewed favourably
- Possess a strong local network
- Experience with the tender process
- Sales leadership experience and history of meeting or exceeding targets
- Strong customer service focus
- A high level of commercial astuteness
- Effective communication skills
