The purpose of this position is to be able to design, build and support Infrastructure related projects for AWS environment.

RELATIONSHIPS

Reports to: Infrastructure Delivery Lead Staff

Responsibility: Enterprise Infrastructure design, build and support

Internal Contacts: Staff at all levels within the company

External Contacts: Customer contacts, Product vendors

SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Must have experience on AWS environment
- Must have strong understanding of CI/CD Pipelines in a globally distributed environment using Git, Bitbucket, Artifactory, Jenkins, GitLab CICD and GCP native tools (Cloud code, cloud build, cloud run cloud deploy) etc..
- Must have Server administration skills (Linux and Windows)
- Nice to have knowledge on docker and Kubernetes.
- Design & build Oracle Databases o Oracle standalone o Oracle RAC o Oracle ADG o Golden Gate is added advantage
- Design & build MySQL / PostgreSQL Databases o Standalone o Master Slave configuration / DR setup
- Design & build Microsoft SQL Databases o Standalone o AlwaysOn o Replication or Logshipping
- Oracle Enterprise Manager Ops Centre knowledge
- Develop and maintain system documentation related to the database configuration
- Perform Patch & release management
- Perform performance trend analysis and manage the server/network capacity
- React to potential problems using automation, scheduling, and monitoring tools escalating to management where appropriate
- Participate in configuration and implement technical solutions to enhance and/or troubleshoot the system
- Hands on experience with IaC using Terraform and AWS
- Hands on experience with configuration management tools like ansible or chef or puppet
- Hands on experience with monitoring tools like Dynatrace or Prometheus or Splunk or Grafana etc..
- Hands on experience with automation scripting tools like bash/shell scripting or PowerShell
- Knowledge of following Operating System environments o AWS EC2 Instance o Redhat/Oracle Linux o IBM AIX o Oracle Solaris o Windows Servers

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
- Proven ability to deliver results as required within specific time frames.
- Ability to work within a team in a cross cultural environment.
- Ability to work after hours.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- 8 9 years of experience as AWS Database Admin on Oracle, EDB Postgres, MySQL, Microsoft SQL.
- Formal IT related qualifications.
