**Your new company**

Join a Commonwealth Department within high profile transformation program which is in initial stages to address preliminary recommendations. Your role will engage across the department and externally and will be responsible for the delivery of the key subcontracts under the initial phases of this program.

**Your new role**

This role is for a highly capable and self-motivated Contract Manager to make significant and meaningful contributions to the Australian community. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of contracts and procurement activities including:

- Developing and managing contract management processes, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contract terms and conditions.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal policies throughout the contract lifecycle.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify contract requirements, pricing and terms, and address any issues or disputes that arise.
- Monitor contract performance, evaluate vendor performance, and manage contract amendments, extensions, and renewals.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with program objectives, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.
- Conduct market research, identify potential vendors, and evaluate supplier capabilities to support program needs.
- Prepare and issue requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for quotes (RFQs), and invitations to tender (ITTs) to solicit bids from vendors.
- Evaluate vendor proposals, negotiate contracts, and select suppliers based on best value, quality, and reliability.

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be considered for this role you will bring 5 years experience working with the Federal Government preferable within large scale programs or system integration projects. It is essential that you have a comprehensive understanding of the CPR's and strong understanding of the entire procurement lifecycle.

**What you'll get in return**

This is an hourly rate contract role for an initial period of 12 months with the option to extend. Contracting rates can be offered between $80 -$105 + super per hour.
