**Position Overview**

Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, the National Credit Manager is accountable for the credit and collection functions across Australia and New Zealand. The role is a hands-on leadership position with full ownership in ensuring the company’s credit risk exposure and cash inflows are proactively managed by continuously adapting (people, policies, processes and systems) to the growth and needs of the business. The role will also champion continuous improvement to drive efficient and effective team performance and delivery of set KPIs/SLAs.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Lead a team of 8 members to effectively manage the day-to-day credit and collection functions across TTI Australia and New Zealand.
- Establish and embed fit-for-purpose risk-based policies, strategies and procedures to ensure credit exposure is maintained at an acceptable level for a rapidly growing organization.
- Drive continuous improvement within the Credit team to ensure that our systems, tools and processes are fit-for-purpose.
- Coach, mentor and build a strong and supportive team environment enabling growth in team capability and capacity to meet the organisation’s future needs.
- Drive team delivery in accordance with set annual KPIs (DSO, Overdue, Claims).
- Develop and build strong and functional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct full ledger reviews (annual cycle) to ensure appropriateness of credit limits, compliance with documentation requirements and identify & manage problem accounts.
- Provide timely reporting and insight on Credit activities that support company performance and enable appropriate management action to be taken.
- Manage the staff order process in accordance with company policy.
- Prepare cash forecasts as part of the company’s cash management strategy.
- Support the preparation of relevant financial information for submission to statutory bodies.
- Liaise (where necessary) with receivers & administrators, collection agents and company solicitors.
- Ensure team compliance with respective legal, professional and ethical standards.

**About You**

You are a self-starter who can work autonomously and manage multiple competing priorities, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, an ability to build trust and influence others to act in the advancement of shared interests and business goals.

**Experience and Skills required for this role**:

- 10+ years in an equivalent or similar role.
- Experience managing large teams (5+ members) essential.
- Demonstrable experience coaching, mentoring, and developing staff.
- Demonstrable conflict resolution experience essential.
- Proven track record of assessing and mitigating credit risk in a commercial environment.
- FMCG industry experience an advantage.
- Exposure to SOX an advantage.
- Proven track record of continuous improvement.
- Previous exposure to EDI desirable.
- Qualification in Business/Accounting or similar desirable.
- Advanced knowledge of SAP essential.
- Time management skills with the ability to work at a fast pace essential.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
- Advanced MS Office skills (particularly Excel and PowerPoint) required.
