**Job Tasks and Responsibilities**
The position is responsible for managing freight flow to and from the warehouse as well as invoicing, issuing credit returns, liaising with customers, transport providers (internal and external), stock control and supplier management. A Team Lead will supervise the day to day activities of our Solutions team. Ensuring that workloads are allocated whilst providing authoritative advice and guidance to operators.
- Further tasks and responsibilities include:_
- Effectively establishes work activities, Key Performance Indicator (KPIs) and operational procedures
- Liaise with customers and provide information and reports as requested and approved by DSV management
- Managing daily activities (Inbound, Inventory management, Outbound)
- Developing, reviewing and consistently meeting and exceeding the client's expectations
- Pallet & Inventory management
- Maintain productivity & budgetary requirements
- Ensuring work instructions & SOP's are regularly stress tested & updated as well as employee training
- Ensures a competent, motivated and harmonious team
- Ensure all security measures are in place as required by the relevant authority
- Provide team members with necessary resources to achieve assigned tasks in a quality/efficient manner
- Implement continuous improvement
**Skills and Experience**
- Extensive experience in Warehouse Management, preferably in the contract logistics industry
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a leadership role
- An understanding of P&L, Customer account, OH&S policies and legislative requirements in regard to warehouse operations and people management.
- Exceptional experience using Warehouse Management Systems, Microsoft word, Excel and outlook
- Counterbalance, reach license or Flexi / Bendi preferred
- Basic financial skills including developing targets, maintaining budgets and analysing operational initiatives
