**Role Overview**

The Investment Consultant, part of the Advisor distribution team, plays a crucial role in providing services and investment products to a diverse client base. This specialist role is designed to assist adviser practices in conducting technical analysis on their investment propositions, helping financial advisers to navigate portfolio construction challenges, identify investment opportunities, and provide evidence-based analytical insights.

**Responsibilities**
- Deliver advice and technical analysis to provide clarity and confidence in portfolio construction decisions to advisers.
- Understand and solve problems faced by adviser customers, offering solutions and paths forward in addressing complex portfolio questions.
- Conduct investment reviews, share findings, and provide well-considered recommendations.
- Maintain deep knowledge of investment industry market conditions, competition, compliance, and regulation.
- Collaborate with global colleagues to leverage and share portfolio construction expertise.

**Skills and Experience**
- Strong technical expertise in portfolio construction and knowledge of a wide range of managed funds (listed and unlisted) and investment products.
- Experience in financial product research, preferably at a research house, investment consultancy, dealer group, or superannuation fund.
- Proficiency in various data sources and programs, including Morningstar Direct and Lonsec.
- Skilled in conducting analysis using data on returns, factors, scenarios, attribution modelling, and supplemental holdings.
- An undergraduate degree is mandatory, with post-qualifications like CFA or CFP highly regarded.
