**About the Business Unit**:
System Governance (SG) is a unit within the Courts, Civil and Criminal Law group of the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS).

There are two teams in System Governance:

- Governance and Appointments - which manages the high priority appointments of judicial officers and boards within the Attorney-General's portfolio. This team also oversees strategic reviews and provides secretariat support to both the Appeal Costs Board and the Judicial Entitlements Panel.
- Honorary Justice Services Support (HJSS) - oversees Victoria's volunteer Honorary Justice program by providing operational, administrative and policy support to justices of the peace and bail justices (collectively known as honorary justices).

**About the Role**:
As a member of the HJSS team, the Project Officer plays a key role in supporting the effective administration of Victoria's volunteer Honorary Justice Program.

Some of your duties will include:

- Assisting with operational tasks including the implementation of strategic improvements and processes to enhance operations
- Producing high quality and detailed documents including reports, briefings, policies and procedures, correspondence and documentation to support successful outcomes of projects and activities
- Providing project and business support activities under limited direction.

**About You**:

- Demonstrated experience in the delivery of projects in an operational setting
- Demonstrated ability to prepare well-written, timely, concise, accurate and audience-appropriate briefings and reports and documents for publication
- Experience delivering services within legislative frameworks.

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Demonstrated project experience (essential).
- Experience in working with, or an understanding of volunteers (desirable).
