About Us- #LI-TS1**Diatec** is part of **Demant**, a world-leading hearing healthcare group that offers solutions and services to help people with hearing loss connect and communicate with the world around them.**Diatec** provides specialist calibration, repair and support services for hearing and balance equipment to the Audiology industry throughout Australia. Our customers include Hearing Clinics, General Practitioners, Community Health Centres, Hospitals, Schools and Heavy Industry. Diatec provides a nationwide service from our four labs based in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.- About Role- This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Service Technician to provide support to our customer base throughout Australia. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while maintaining professional business relationships and managing their service expectations. This is a very busy role which requires regular state-wide travel with occasional interstate trips.- Main Responsibilities:
- Calibration and certification of audiology equipment
- Repair (to component level) of audiology equipment
- State-wide & Interstate on-site calibrations at customer clinics
- Customer Support
- Technical and phone support including software installation and configuration
- Booking jobs into the Service Database and entering all service information from job-start to finish
- Organisation & Calendar Management of onsite calibrations
- Development of new client relationships
- Manage a large workload efficiently and to a high standard
- Desired Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a service technician in a customer facing role
- Experience in the repair and calibration of audiometry equipment or medical devices (desirable)
- Suitable technical qualifications in electronics
- Strong computer skills with the ability to troubleshoot software
- Strong time management skills and the ability to proactively prioritise tasks with little supervision
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Ability to use your initiative
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Willingness to undertake all activities with professionalism and enthusiasm
