**About the role**
Ventia’s Yarra Valley Water contract is seeking Civil Maintenance Workers to join their planned works Civil team. These roles are Permanent full-time opportunities that offer the stability of a maintenance contract with a strong focus on growth and upskill of workers. In this role you will report to the Civil Superintendent and maintain underground water and sewer systems, based in Mitcham, Melbourne.

Applications are open to those with prior experience as well as those who are seeking to enter the water maintenance industry.

**Duties**
- Undertake job pre-start safety analysis and update site safety risk assessment
- Carry out excavation works to locate water pipes and sewer systems
- Undertake manual labour activities
- Provide exceptional frontline customer service to all stakeholders

**About you**
- Field experience in maintenance of water underground networks is desired but not required
- Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Competent in the use of digital communication and data capture devices
- Endurance in undertaking manual labour activities
- MR Truck license (desirable)
- Excavator experience & license (desirable)
- Electrical Spotters ticket (desirable)
- Cert 3 in Civil Construction/Water Operations is advantageous
