**In this role you will**: - Provide strategic advice to support effective investment planning and delivery of our digital investments, including advice on capabilities and skills required for delivery and ongoing operations. Establish and maintain effective management and governance oversight of the department's digital investment portfolio and provide mentorship to those leading digital initiatives. Lead Whole of Government and internal reporting on our digital investments, and contribute to broader departmental investment portfolio activities, partnering with the relevant areas of the department. Undertake the role of secretariat and advisor to the department's Digital Strategy and Information Security Committee. Lead development of departmental standards and guidelines to support strong digital investments. Lead research and analysis to support strong investment management practices, collaborating as required with government and industry partners, as well as academia. Partner with the department's finance and procurement teams to ensure digital investments are managed appropriately within finance systems, and to drive the maturity of our digital and ICT services contracts and vendor management practices. Represent the department at inter-agency workshops, advisory groups, and communities of practice
- Communicate with influence, and document and present research findings to diverse audiences. Develop and maintain constructive, collaborative working partnerships and relationships with business leaders, system owners, and partnering business groups. Collaborate with other team members on priority activities to support our Strategic Plan, Data and Digital Strategy (DDS) and Information Security Management System (ISMS), as required. Other duties as directed and required.
**This position requires**: - Previous experience in the digital and ICT fields undertaking investment planning, project/program delivery and investment governance would all be highly regarded.
