**About the team**

At Wesfarmers, our General Insurance team is responsible for the management, administration and operation of the Group’s risk financing and insurance program. The team works across a range of insurance functions including claims management, underwriting, placement and self-insurance.

**What you’ll be doing**

Reporting to our Insurance Services Manager, this full-time hands-on role will support the delivery and ongoing management of Wesfarmers’ Group insurance program. You will have a unique opportunity to work on complex programs across a diverse portfolio of businesses, contributing real value while continuing to develop and refine your expertise.

Key responsibilities include:

- Provide strategic and technical insurance advice across a diverse business portfolio
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across various industries
- Gather and analyse insurance and risk data to support decision-making
- Review insurance policies, contracts, and regulatory developments
- Support the design and implementation of annual insurance programs
- Collaborate on risk engineering initiatives and communicate their value to business units
- Contribute to cross-functional projects and continuous improvement efforts
- Other projects and activities supporting the Insurance Services team as required

**What you’ll need**
- At least 3 years’ experience in insurance, risk management, or broking - preferably within a complex or corporate environment
- Strong technical knowledge of general insurance products and program design
- A keen understanding of contract reviews, insurance clauses, and risk implications
- Proven ability to engage with stakeholders and communicate complex information clearly
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- A collaborative mindset and a genuine interest in contributing to a high-performing team
- Tertiary qualifications in insurance, business, law or a related field (or working towards)

The Corporate Office provides corporate services and support to the autonomous businesses within the Wesfarmers Group, enabling the achievement of Group objectives. It leads capital allocation and portfolio management for the Group and focuses on leveraging and enhancing the Group’s reputation to support attraction and retention of talent, securing investment opportunities and maintaining a low-cost capital.
