As Australia’s leading recycled and kraft paper manufacturer, Visy Pulp and Paper is a big part of our business. Our integrated recycling and manufacturing operations means we collect paper and cardboard from households and businesses and turn it into up to 100% recycled paper. We are also home to the world’s most environmentally friendly kraft paper mill in Tumut, providing high-quality kraft paper for domestic and international markets. The paper we produce supplies our board facilities across Australia and New Zealand, where it is remanufactured into cardboard packaging for the food and beverage industry.

**Role Details**

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the **Reliability Manager** will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve equipment reliability, optimize maintenance processes, and support overall operational efficiency. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of our recycling and manufacturing facilities.

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Reliability Manager to join our team to lead and enhance our maintenance and asset management strategies ensuring maximum equipment uptime and efficiencies while also upholding our high standards of:

- Safety and Compliance,
- Maintenance and Reliability,
- Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement.

**What you'll do**
- Develop and oversee the reliability programs including managing the engineering budget to improve plant uptime and reduce maintenance costs.
- Analyze failure patterns and implement predictive and preventive maintenance strategies.
- Lead a team of Reliability Engineers as well as Engineering contractors to enhance equipment performance.
- Collaborate with variety of stakeholders including operations and technical teams to enhance mill performance.
- Managing routine monthly plant maintenance shutdowns.
- Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions for recurring issues.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to track asset performance.
- Support continuous improvement projects to enhance efficiency and sustainability.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality regulations.

**What You Will Bring**
- **Bachelor’s Degree** in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).
- **5+ years** of experience in senior reliability/maintenance management in a heavy manufacturing environment.
- Experience in **paper, pulp, or recycling industries** is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of **predictive & preventive maintenance (PdM & PM)** strategies.
- Proficiency in **CMMS software and reliability analysis tools**.
- Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills.
