Are you passionate about driving operational excellence and ensuring the reliability of critical assets? Beach Energy is seeking a dynamic Reliability Engineer to join our Melbourne based team. This is your opportunity to make a tangible impact on production performance, safety, and regulatory compliance across all Beach-operated assets.
About the Role
The Reliability Engineer improves production performance and asset reliability, balancing cost, safety, and compliance. The role focuses on optimising equipment strategies, monitoring asset health, analysing reliability data, and supporting maintenance and engineering projects.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting root cause analysis, leading failure investigations, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Developing and refining preventive and predictive maintenance programs using methodologies like RCM and FMEA.
- Ensuring critical equipment consistently meets reliability and availability targets, leveraging condition monitoring and reliability tools.
- Extracting actionable insights from maintenance data, reporting on key metrics such as MTBF, MTTR, and equipment availability.
- Providing reliability input for equipment upgrades and redesigns, influencing long‑term asset performance.
- Ensuring all practices meet HSE regulations, participating in safety reviews, and assessing operational risks.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring demonstrated experience in the energy and/or mining sectors, with a proven track record in reliability analysis and improvement. Your background will include expertise in process safety, risk management, asset integrity, and safety management systems, as well as experience conducting defect elimination investigations. You are proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, and have hands‑on experience with Maintenance Management Systems, preferably SAP. You hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering, ideally mechanical and are either working towards or have completed Chartered status with Engineers Australia.
