We are seeking an individual with a strong background in business accounting and bookkeeping to provide our clients with exceptional financial support and expert insights.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage and maintain accurate financial records for a portfolio of business clients, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Perform end-to-end bookkeeping functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
- Collaborate with clients to gather financial information, troubleshoot discrepancies, and answer queries related to their financial records.
- Prepare and process payroll, including PAYG, superannuation, and other related obligations.
- Generate financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Work closely with the accounting team to ensure seamless integration of bookkeeping data into the broader financial reporting process.
- Stay updated with changes in tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards to provide accurate advice to clients.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Prior experience as a bookkeeper, preferably within a business services or public accounting environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or similar platforms.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and taxation concepts.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Business acumen and the ability to analyze financial data to provide valuable insights.
- Familiarity with BAS and GST reporting requirements.
- Qualifications in accounting, finance, or a related field are preferred.
