**About the Role**
The position involves preparing tenders, securing and managing grant funding, and driving initiatives that promote sustainable practices across Council and the community. You’ll also represent Council in meetings, committees, and regional collaborations, while staying abreast of emerging technologies and legislative changes. As the Coordinator, you’ll support staff development and ensure high-quality service delivery, acting as a key escalation point for customer and councillor enquiries. This is a dynamic role for someone passionate about environmental resilience and community impact.
**What We Offer**
- Temporary, Full-Time position - 70 hours per fortnight (12-month parental leave cover)
- Salary range $137,358.18 - $159,150.21 per annum, plus 12% superannuation

**What We Are Looking For**
- Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Sustainability or related field
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing plans, policies, programs and associated works that will enhance the natural environment
- Demonstrated experience in project management, including project briefs and timelines, preparing budgets within constraints and post project evaluation
- Extensive experience in waste services contract management including local government procurement legislation, the writing and evaluation of tenders and high attention to detail in managing contractor performance in line with contract requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop innovative, practical solutions to complex and potentially sensitive environmental management matters
- Sound influencing and negotiation skills and proven ability to interact and communicate with diverse stakeholders
- Proven extensive experience in people leadership, development and engagement with the ability to motivate, and create a positive workplace culture while ensuring performance in line with Council’s policies and processes
- Experience managing multi-million-dollar operational budgets, and financial reserves
- Class C Drivers Licence
