**The role**:A residential opportunity in Regional NSW for an experienced HSE Leader to join a well established mining operation. Provide leadership and guidance in the safety, health, environment, emergency response and training functions for the operation.

**Title**: HSE Superintendent (Mining)

**Salary**: $190,000 - $200,000 + Super + Benefits + Short Term + Long Term Bonus
**Roster**: Mon - Fri

**Reports to**: HSET Manager
**Development**: Ongoing Mentorship + Opportunity to advance into HSET Manager role
**HSE Team size**: 11
**The mine site**: High performing site | Long life of mine
**Culture**: Steady, experienced, well-established site

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Commit to maintaining health, safety and security standards and principles
- Maintain a positive attitude towards safety in the workplace
- Understand and comply with the Work Health and Safety Act and Mining Regulations
- Development of the safety and environmental management plans
- Promote relationships with Government regulators, local landholders and other stakeholders
- Oversee and support approvals, permits and feasibility studies as required.
- Provide support on the management of environmental risks and compliance
- Oversee emergency response
- Identification of potential risks throughout the site
- Supervise and coach direct reports providing career development, planning and pathways.

**Must haves**:

- Mining HSE leadership experience
- Qualification - related field
- Experience conducting audits and investigations
- An in-depth understanding of the NSW Mining legislation's
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong regulatory and permitting experience
- Problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Sound proficiency in the use of MS Suite (Outlook, Word & Excel)
