The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical and Piping Supervisor to join our project team. This position forms part of the Mechanical and Piping Group / Wet Process Area and reports to the Wet Process Area Superintendent. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising mechanical and piping works during the construction and early development phase of a copper processing operation.

You will work closely with project development, engineering, QA/QC, and contractor teams to ensure all mechanical and piping activities are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate and supervise all mechanical and piping works, ensuring compliance with HSE policies and actively supporting safety management and continuous improvement.
- Provide daily and monthly progress reports, manage schedule conflicts and delays, and assist with developing mitigating plans.
- Review contractor work plans, schedules, and detailed methods to ensure milestones are achieved and works comply with drawings, specifications, and QA/QC requirements.
- Work with QA specialists and Site Engineering to monitor quality, develop corrective actions, and manage deficiency lists to ensure completion of deficiencies.
- Ensure contractor documentation (permits, as-built drawings, procedures, etc.) is completed and maintained, while managing and directing employees to support delivery of duties.
- Support Performance Improvement Plans, safeguard assets, respond to incidents, and ensure compliance with company procedures and regulations.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Higher education in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or related field, with at least 10 years’ experience in mining process facility construction.
- Extensive experience in mechanical and piping construction, including installation of mechanical equipment and piping for large-scale mining or heavy infrastructure projects.
- At least 5 years of managerial/supervisory experience in mechanical and piping roles, with proven ability to manage subordinates and work across disciplines.
- Demonstrated ability to work in international, multicultural, and extreme cold climate environments.
- Strong knowledge of construction planning, methods, productivity analysis, QA, and HSE procedures for mechanical and piping works.
- Skilled in conflict management, problem solving, and handling multiple tasks under pressure with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Navisworks, AutoCAD viewer, and relevant construction software.
- Fluent English with proven leadership and communication skills.
