Payroll Officer Needed, Geelong Based Role, Full Time, Excellent Salary + Super + Salary Sacrifice, Immediate

This well known and respected organisation operates across various sites delivering a range of services including residential aged care, home care and aged support services, settlement, training and education, financial counselling and disability support.
**Your new role**
As an experienced Payroll Officer your day to day duties will include:
- Maintain payroll data and database and process pay in the TriWin Pay/TriOnline systems.
- High volume end to end payroll processing including fortnightly payroll processing for approximately 200 employees per week, in partnership with another payroll officer.
- Process and provide advice to stakeholders, on leave calculations including, annual, personal, long service and parental leave.
- Work with operational stakeholders in understanding complex rostering and timesheet arrangements against various EBA’s and Awards to ensure compliance and accurate payment including the interpretation of overtime, loading, allowances etc.
- Reviewing timesheets and calculating pay in line with EBA’s and Award interpretation.
- Preparation and upload of STP, Superannuation, PSLS Scheme and Child Support payments and reports.
- Collecting required documentation, calculating and entering data in order to maintain and update payroll information databases. Including onboarding payroll information, any changes and exiting.
- Provide customer service and support to staff in accessing online tools and respond to various queries regrading payroll information including pay, tax, leave, superannuation, salary packaging etc.
- Participate in organisation-wide, site based and team meetings, collaborative planning activities and other meetings or activities relevant to position.
- Support the Return to Work function by ensuring the correct and timely processing and payment of Workcover pay, in line with the insurer, has been processed, recorded and reported on as needed
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of systems and processes ensuring services meet professional and industry standards.
- Provide and analyse various payroll reports and data when required.
- Work with the HR department to establish critical dates lists
- Participate in in various projects including consolidation to new payroll system.
- Other duties as required within the general scope of this role.
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role in a service driven environment in a medium to large organisation.
- Demonstrated understanding of the needs and requirements of the payroll function.
- Some experience with Award and EBA interpretation and the ability to work with multiple at once.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office with intermediate skills in MS Excel.
- Mandatory qualifications, checks and licences:
- Completion of a National Criminal History Check as required by legislation and policy during employment, as well as a duty to disclose relevant information that may arise after employment has commenced.
- Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current Covid-19 vaccination certificates as an essential service provider.
- Experience with Try Win Pay/Try Online systems.
- Experience processioning payroll in an Aged Care, Community Services or Health Care environment
