Demand Planner

**About the role**:
BCF are seeking a Demand Planner based in their Support Office in Strathpine, Brisbane. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to grow with a company that is on a transformational journey, analysing trends and making recommendations to ensure we meet the needs of our customers, providing them with innovative products across a range of leisure activities.

Reporting in to the Senior Demand Planner this role concentrates on planning, forecasting and executing demand and fulfilment requirements for our BCF Fishing business unit. Working closely with key stakeholders to ensure sales, service levels, and inventory targets are achieved within your designated category. As part of the Merchandise team, the focus of this role is on delivery and improving our business performance.

**The role also involves**:

- Ensuring we have the right amount of stock in the right place at the right time to satisfy our customer needs through forecasting accuracy both online and in store
- Monitoring and analysing actual performance versus planning to identify issues and update key stakeholders with recommendations and insights
- Understanding our business and systems, developing a proactive and independent approach to problem solving.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with our internal teams; Category, Merchandise Planning, Retail, Master Data, eComms, Marketing, China Sourcing
- Collaboration with our Trade Partners to ensure there is a strong understanding of information and planning lead times to ensure full supply

**About you**:
As a Demand Planner you will be a results focused individual, commercially rounded and comfortable owning the planning detail. You will be confident when dealing with challenging situations and encouraging of others ideas to create new solutions to problems.

**You will bring**:

- Experience in retail merchandise Planning and Analysis, Inventory Management or equivalent in a large organisation is strongly preferred however we may consider someone from a retail Allocations Analyst or Assistant Category Manager background
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with strong communication skills and an ability to build collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Strength in interpretation/analysis of data coupled with demonstrated problem solving abilities
- Excellent time management and prioritisation with the ability to manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (v-lookups / pivot tables essential)
- Exposure to SAP / JDA or similar systems would be advantageous
