Communications Specialist- Country Road Group

The Role
Reporting into the Group Communications Manager, this role sees you flexing your skills as a comms all rounder. Working across a mix of internal and external comms, events, change and issues management, you will assist in building this function for the business. You will have an opportunity to work across our iconic brands to build engagement, drive leadership, enable change, and to bring the Country Road Group lifestyle to life. With autonomy to lead exciting projects and plenty of room to grow, you are giving the support to shape this role as your own.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and maintain our communications channels including Workplace, newsletter, intranet, LinkedIn and corporate website.
- Lead our Workplace (internal social media platform) strategy to reinvigorate the platform with a focus on driving adoption, effective communication and great experiences
- Lead our content strategy and calendar to leverage the great stories across our business that bring the Country Road Group lifestyle to life across our channels
- Partner with our PR and marketing teams to align on content and experience opportunities across our channels.
- Partner with our People team on communications that support us to grow high-performing teams
- Lead our Botanicca Life calendar of weekly experiences to develop events that highlight our priorities and celebrate our Country Road Group lifestyle
- Support the delivery of our big comms moments, including Town Halls and our National Retail Conference.
Who are we looking for?
- Communications background and experience: 3-5 years’ experience in internal communications
- Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced organisation and an innovative, pro-active and creative approach
- Sound knowledge and experience using Workplace and/or other social media platforms for work
- A strong background in planning and delivering communications including written communications, maintaining channels, managing events and creating interesting content including, video
- A degree or qualification in communications, marketing or journalism
