The Opportunity

- The role will see you starting as a casual employee, however there is an opportunity for this to be a full-time Position.
- Complete the 5 week paid training course.
- Gain employment as a trainee officer with Ventia to complete on the job role.
- Work towards receiving a certificate III in Correctional Practice.
- Pay increase after 3 months of training.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

- Providing for the safety and security of Persons in Custody
- Transport Persons in Custody as required
- Care for Persons in Custody whilst admitted to Hospital
- Care for Persons in Custody whilst in Court Custody

- High safety and security focus
- Must have a manual Driving Licence
- Be willing to obtain a First Aid Certificate
- MR truck licence (or above) highly regarded
- Available to travel (road and air)

Ventia will provide you with all the professional training required to fully undertake and succeed in this role.
You will need to have Australian Working Rights and have the ability to obtain and maintain a National Police Check, Working with Children Check and be prepared to undergo a pre-employment medical including a drug & alcohol test in order to be eligible for these positions.
