**About the Role**:
This is an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of our Asset Training team to support our Operations and Training Community.
The role is accountable for the management of technical training records, training assignment, auditing and verification routines coupled with training stakeholder support aligning with company procedures and legislative requirements.
Reporting to Manager Asset Training & Doc Governance, your key accountabilities include:
- Display an overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development.
- Ensure conformance with the BHP Charter, the BHP Group Level Documents, Code of Conduct and relevant statutory obligations.
- Lead the Governance Reporting team in a positive manner by setting clear expectations in order to prioritise effectively and maximize the amount and quality of work with strict accountability for cost control.
- Ensure governance of our Training procedure requirements, ensuring a productive, step-up culture and strong relationships with key stakeholders including functional and WAIO business areas.
- Enhance records management awareness, competency, capability and quality throughout WAIO.
- Increase utilisation of e-Assessment and tablets through influencing.
- Manage, and maintain systems for, training-related records information, through influence.
- Assist and support stakeholders in understanding and complying with BHP requirements for our WAIO training framework.
- Cultivate positive relationships through effective communication and consultation with key stakeholders.
- Positively influence and shape the culture to ensure a safe, productive, quality, sustainable and disciplined approach to work.
- Governance and management of technical training records for each operation in line with company procedures and legislation, including the quality assurance of records and business reporting on training metrics.
- Maintain a structured audit program to audit compliance.
**About You**:
**Experience**:
- Mid-level management experience providing services to the mining or industrial sectors.
- Exposure to training delivery methodologies and skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the WA Work Health and Safety Act 2020 and associated Mining Regulations.
- BHP Operations experience highly regarded, or experience/knowledge with Agile methodologies.
**Qualifications**:
- Preferred but not necessary: Qualification in a business management or related discipline.
- Preferred but not necessary: Qualification in training discipline.
**Skills**:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proven ability to sustainably influence stakeholders in multiple remote locations.
- Proven ability to manage service delivery across multiple operating locations, and to mediate competing requirements and capabilities across such locations.
- Demonstrated people leadership skills to drive culture and performance.
- Proven ability to drive cultural and organisational change.
- Proven ability to navigate and reconcile competing priorities.
- Proven ability to manage complexity and navigate ambiguity.
- Fluent in LMS, 1DOC, FLEX, Fiori.
**Location**:
You will be based in Perth, Western Australia, in the multi award winning office tower - ‘City Square’. You will have stunning river views from your modern open plan office, state of the art facilities including virtual whiteboards and video conferencing facilities, 550 bicycle racks with ample lockers, showers and change room amenities and a large outdoor terrace with barbecues.
You will be working on a Monday-Friday roster while a Flexi work arrangement is also offered.
