**Your role**
The Disability Policy & Reform Branch is part of the Early Intervention, Disability and Inclusion Directorate within Strategy, Policy and Commissioning. The branch works across NSW Government agencies to support the design and implementation of Foundational Supports, leads NSW policy engagement with the NDIS and leads the operational relationship between NSW Government and the National Disability Insurance Agency. The branch also has the responsibility to deliver, implement and monitor the NSW Government response to the Disability Royal Commission.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Officer to join our team. This role is vital in supporting the successful development and delivery of projects by providing research, analysis, reporting, and administrative assistance in line with established plans and objectives.
**What you’ll do**
- Provide operational and project support, including tracking project milestones, deliverables, and ensuring alignment with time, cost, and quality objectives.
- Update and maintain accurate documentation and records to ensure compliance with project management methodologies.
- Conduct basic research and analysis in specific project areas, contributing to the preparation of detailed project briefs.
- Assist the project team with task completion and implementation of project plans to meet desired outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide project updates and address implementation issues.
- Deliver a variety of secretariat and administrative services, such as coordinating meetings and preparing documentation to support project delivery.
**What we’re looking for**
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Experience in TRIM and/or MiniApp
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to support research, reporting, and planning activities.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholder.
- Commitment to achieving quality outcomes while working to tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
