**Your part in The Wesley Hospital team**
- Overseeing the Health Information departments day to day functions, you’ll provide operational management in all aspects relating to the Health Information/Medical Record service, supporting the implementation of appropriate workflows and tools across the hospital as we move towards the use of Electronic Medical Records. A diverse role you will:
- Undertake an ongoing review of Health Information Services (HIS) processes to ensure optimum efficiency, recruitment, training and development of staff.
- Work collaboratively with the Clinical Coding team to support all relevant strategic directions, objectives and performance indicators.
- Assist with ensuing Health Information Services department KPIs are achieved.
- Assist Manager, Health Information Unit with formulating and developing departmental, best practice policies, procedures and work instructions pertaining to Health Information Management.
- Assist the Manager, Health Information Unit with Health Information Management based projects and/or delegated tasks through to completion.
- Work collaboratively with the UCH Clinical Coding Manager to assist the clinical coding team with the allocation of ICD-10-AM disease and ACHI procedure codes to all hospital admissions, as required.

**What makes a difference for us?**
- Bachelor of Health Information Management (HIM) or equivalent
- Knowledge of ICD-10-AM, ACHI, ACS and AR-DRGs.
- Working knowledge of patient data collections, storage, management and analysis, including legislative requirements, national standards, quality standards and policy,
- Knowledge of the impact of clinical documentation and coding on the private hospital revenue cycle.
- Time management and prioritisation skills with an ability to remain focused in a busy environment
- Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively to meet deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment
