**About the Role**
The role of the Piping Designer is to carry out basic piping design tasks in accordance with project requirements and Hatch standards.
You will use vendor drawings and information sheets to develop the model; develop piping Material Take Offs (MTOs) and locate standard pipe supports in the model and design special pipe supports with piping stress analyst input. Additional accountabilities include, but are not limited to, attending formal design reviews; preparation of stress sketches and producing piping General Arrangement (GA) and equipment location drawings under supervision.

**About You**
To be considered for this role, you will possess the following essential skills, qualifications, and experience:

- Advanced Diploma of Engineering or equivalent (mechanical preferred)
- Minimum of three years piping design experience or equivalent relevant experience
- Good understanding of the Hatch Health, Safety, Environmental and Community (HSEC) policy and standards
- Working knowledge of piping components and materials
- Ability to take instruction and work unsupervised
- Proficient in the use of 2D CAD systems
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of design systems and workflows as they relate to the piping discipline

Desirable skills and experience include:

- Knowledge of industry or regulatory standards and codes as required for piping design
- Experience with Bentley and/or Intergraph 3D design systems
- Modelling skills in a 3D environment
- Site experience in a piping technical role.
