About the Role

Reporting into the General Manager of P&C, this role will focus on providing strategic and tactical advice to core business areas to ensure workforce development & engagement is aligned to the business strategy. Key will be enabling People Managers to play an active role in activating people initiatives and programs across their business units, partnering across all Corporate functions.

**Key responsibilities include but are not limited to**:
Providing strategic and tactical P&C advice and guidance to business unit people leaders in the overall approach to people management, workforce development, and employee engagement

Understanding the requirements and demands of the business function, translating them into requirements of the P&C function to deliver with the support of the Employee Services, and Centres of Excellence teams

Providing strategic advice, strategy development and execution to business function and people leaders, ensuring day-to-day operational HR activities are directed to the transactional services domain

Partnering with business unit people leaders to develop workforce planning strategies that align to the business function priorities and overall Bapcor strategy, ensuring people implications of business decisions are understood

Enabling effective partnerships and stakeholder focus at a localised level to deliver on business needs

Leveraging strategic frameworks, tools, and processes to drive high performance

Enabling people managers to play an active role in activating people initiatives and programs along the entire employee life cycle to support workforce development and engagement

About you

Ideally you will be tertiary qualified in an HR discipline. You have held broad generalist HR / P&C roles from a strategic and tactical perspective. Key to your success will be proven experience in providing guidance and advice to key business stakeholders with regards to all P&C related activity, workforce planning and ER. You are also able to effectively navigate the complexities of human resources, organisational development, and the employee relations lifecycle.

You have a hand-on style, strong stakeholder engagement skills and a demonstrated ability to develop, build and maintain effective working relationships both internally and externally. You have excellent attention to detail, communication skills and a keen interest in coaching and mentoring your business leaders.
