**Project Construction Mechanical Rigger**

Corellian Pty Ltd is looking for a Casual Mechanical Rigger to join the team for a 3 to 6 month project in the Brisbane CBD area.

**Mechanical rigging**

We perform work that very few companies in Australia can do. We are experts at moving very heavy loads, very delicate loads and loads with unusual shapes through almost any space. This involves using equipment in specialised ways and a lot of coordination with an experienced team.

The dogging and rigging High Risk Work Licences are not enough for the specialised skills that we use, so you will be following the senior riggers' instructions closely. Other trade qualifications are also beneficial, including metal engineering, welding, carpentry, bricklaying, refrigeration, mechanic, shop-fitting et cetera but these are not essential.

**About the role**:
We offer one of the highest base rates in the industry for our team, and we also provide productivity allowances to workers who prove to be reliable and competent to carry out tasks.

This is a casual employment opportunity for specific project contract with an immediate start.

The successful applicant will be responsible for working on site alongside experienced team members who will be running the project.

**Duties**:

- Moving loads on skates and general basic building work.
- Qualified Riggers: rigging and securing loads with the assistance of a qualified experienced Corellian rigger.
- Adhere to all lift plans & site safety procedures.
- Additional duties depending on tickets and experience, including operating machinery and mobile plant or other trade qualified work.
- Generally, lifting tools, equipment and materials heavier than 20kg.
- Work on a project site in Brisbane CBD.

**You must have**:

- The right to work in Australia.
- 2 years’ Construction experience.
- Mechanical Rigging experience working with chain blocks.
- Basic Rigging ticket.
- A Construction Industry White Card from NSW, VIC, SA, NT, TAS, ACT, or QLD (no WA).
- Any current Driver’s Licence.
- Experience working in a team with clear communication skills.
- Ability to undertake works safely, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Punctual, with excellent time management.

**We would be impressed if you have (optional)**:

- Any Trade qualification
- Work at heights
- Intermediate Rigging or Advanced Rigging ticket

**About you**:
You will also have an excellent attitude towards safety, a flexible attitude to work with other contractor groups and be a team player.

**Must be**:

- Able to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
- Available for irregular hours (early starts, late finishes, weekend work and working away depending on the location).
- Able to demonstrate experience as a positive team contributor.
- Professional on-site presentation and communication with others.
- Able to work in Australia with no restrictions or limitations.

**Any additional tickets, license or relevant trade qualifications will be an advantage.**
