**About the Role**
The Quality & Safety Unit are seeking a part-time permanent employee to join the Clinical Outcomes team. As a member of the Quality & Safety Unit, the Quality Consultant, Clinical Outcomes utilises their skills and knowledge to ensure that reviews of serious adverse patient safety events (SAPSEs) and Statutory Duty of Candour (SDC or open disclosure) across Monash Health occurs in a timely and effective manner, to deliver improved clinical outcomes and patient experience.
The Quality Consultant, Clinical Outcomes:
- Coordinates clinical incident investigations into SAPSEs and outcomes, including facilitating SAPSE reviews (e.g. Sentinel Event, or serious incident reviews)
- Works with the Quality Partners, Programs and Patient Experience Team to facilitate timely and effective SDC.
- Provides expertise and coordinates training in clinical incident investigation;
- Participates in continuous improvement projects within the Clinical Outcomes Team
- Ensures policies and procedures; best practice standards; professional standards and legislative requirements are promoted and complied with.
- Models and promotes Monash Health’s values and code of conduct.
The Quality Consultants work together and assist each other to:
- Manage workload both within and across the Quality Partner, Clinical Outcomes and Standard teams (including covering leave)
- Access appropriate expertise within the team and involve relevant stakeholders
