**Your New Career**:
Our Para Planning team plays an essential part in supporting our Surf Coast Shire customers with guidance and assistance as the first point of contact for the Statutory Planning Department.

**What you will bring to the role**:
We are now seeking an enthusiastic and organised individual to join our Para Planning team to assist in the provision of information and assistance to both Surf Coast Shire customers and internal departments on town planning issues.

Within this role, you will:

- Provide efficient administrative support to the Statutory Planning Team.
- Administer correspondence and assist with general planning enquiries with internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain relevant records and registers.
- Generate reports in relation to the performance of the Statutory Planning Team on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis as required.
- Actively participate as a supportive member of the Planning and Development Department.

**Key Selection Criteria**:
**Mandatory Qualifications and Experience**:

- Certificate lll in Business and Office Administration or relevant qualification (or greater experience in similar role).
- Demonstrated understanding of town planning issues and associated legislation.
- At least two years’ experience in customer service, administration, and/or general office administration.
- Well-developed computer skills (including Microsoft Office and records management database, preferably TRIM and Open Office).
- A current WWCC.
- Police Check results that are suitable for this position (will be arranged by Surf Coast Shire Council).

**Desirable Qualifications and Experience**:

- Experience working in a Statutory Planning environment is desired.
