**Practice Lead - ICT and Capability Project Management**

RPS is seeking a Practice Lead - Defence Capability. This is a key leadership role within our Canberra team and will work alongside our well established, market leading Defence infrastructure delivery business. The role is full-time permanent and will support our clients and teams in planning and delivery major, complex Defence capability projects.

**About the Role**

As one of the Practice Leads, you’ll oversee the development and delivery of your Team’s business plan. You’ll be responsible for strategic leadership, client relationship management, financial performance, team capability development, recruitment and project delivery.

**Key responsibilities**
- Lead, manage, and grow the Canberra Defence Capability practice
- Drive business development and client engagement initiatives
- Oversee financial performance and project profitability
- Ensure timely, high-quality project delivery across a diverse portfolio
- Foster a collaborative and empowered team culture
- Guide project planning, procurement, and resourcing strategies
- Mentor, develop and recruit staff
- Delivery positive client outcomes

**About you**
- 10+ years' experience
- Demonstrated experience in leading high-performance teams
- Relevant tertiary qualification in project management, systems engineering or logistics support or demonstrated equivalent experience/training
- A strong understanding of defence capability projects and strong networks
- Project management training or qualification desirable
- Able to successfully obtain and maintain a minimum Australian Government Baseline NV1 Security Clearance
- Strong team player who enjoys working in a team environment.
