Role Overview

Clinical Nurse Consultant - Cancer Services position at a regional hospital offers a permanent full-time opportunity with competitive remuneration aligned with your skills and experience. The role is based in Cancer Services at the Griffith Base Hospital.


Key responsibilities include leading practice development and policy implementation, providing clinical supervision and mentorship to nursing staff, delivering specialised nursing care and support to patients and families throughout their cancer journey, and engaging in education and research activities to advance cancer care.


About the Role
  • Act as a role model and expert in cancer nursing, supporting patients in navigating investigations, treatments, and referrals.
  • Provide expert advice to patients, families, and healthcare professionals, contributing to multidisciplinary care planning and attending meetings.
  • Coordinate patient and carer education, leading the development of evidence-based nursing practices.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Registered Nurse with current Authority to Practice (AHPRA), minimum 5 years full-time equivalent post-registration experience including at least 3 years in cancer care.
  • Postgraduate qualification in oncology nursing or working towards a Master's degree.
  • Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge and leadership in cancer care.
