**The Company**
Our client is a family run Melbourne born business that is a leader in their industry. Due to ongoing demand, they are looking for a Junior Purchasing Officer to join the team.

**The Role**
- Reporting into the Senior Purchasing officer, this role will manage the end to end Purchasing and logistics into the Distribution Centre of both local and imported goods.
- Manage stock levels and raising purchase orders as required via basic forecasting.
- Raise and reconcile invoices while also coordinating the logistics function to ensure goods are received within set out time-frames
- Communication with local and overseas suppliers to raise purchase orders, as well as liaise with freight forwarders to ensure timely deliveries

**Skills & Experience**
- Proficient in Excel is essential
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of supply chain or logistics functions highly desirable
- Intuitive and proactive attitude.
