Gst Assurance and Reporting Manager

As the GST Assurance and Reporting Manager, you will be the cornerstone of our tax compliance and reporting framework. Your objective is to manage and deliver comprehensive GST assurance programs, including controls testing for corporate entities, super funds and managed investment schemes. You will lead the GST reporting processes conducted by others, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in BAS submissions.

In this role, you will coordinate responses to enquiries or reviews by internal auditors, external auditor and the ATO, collaborating closely with the Head of Indirect Tax and the GST Manager on interpretative matters. You will drive the improvement of GST-related accounting and reporting processes and systems, leveraging tax technology to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Additionally, you will provide leadership and mentorship to one member of staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence. Your role is pivotal in safeguarding our financial integrity and ensuring our GST practices are not only compliant but exemplary.

**What you will bring to the role**
- Ideally at least 5 years’ experience of tax governance, assurance, compliance matters for large corporates, with at least 3 years focussing primarily on GST.Experience in use of Power BI and financial software

Your experience in the financial services sector and large corporate audit is highly regarded. Additionally, having experience in an in-house industry role is considered highly advantageous.
