Business Group Leader

GHD has an exciting leadership opportunity to join our Northern NSW operations leading our **Buildings, Power, and Project Management team **.
This role leads a multi-disciplinary team of architects, project managers and engineers (electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical) who together offer a broad range of building and infrastructure related services to our Clients across the Northern NSW region. The position is responsible for leading, creating and maintaining strong client engagement and experience, realising business opportunities, providing technical leadership and mentoring for the team, as well as overseeing and participating in multi-disciplinary projects, bids, and proposals.

The Buildings, Power, and Project Management team works with all key Clients across our markets and consists of around 30 experienced industry professionals.

**Key responsibilities **will include but not limited to:

- Providing leadership in line with GHD’s core values and strategy
- Leading and delivering projects
- Proactively managing Business Group financial targets with respect to backlog, utilisation and working capital
- Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with Clients, Market Leaders, Service Line Leaders, Project Directors and Project Managers to manage workload and team resources necessary to deliver quality, timely and innovative solutions to our clients
- Collaborating with Team Leaders, Project Directors, Market Leaders and Project Managers
- Developing capability of our people via mentoring, engagement activities, performance development and targeted recruitment

**What you'll bring to the role**:

- You will have degree qualifications or equivalent in Architecture, Engineering or related disciplines
- Demonstrated experience in leading and delivering multi discipline projects including scoping, resourcing, budgeting and co-ordinating services as part of a project team.
- Experience in mentoring and developing diverse teams within a professional services consultancy or related client organisation

The successful applicant can be based in any of our Northern NSW offices, specifically Central Coast, Newcastle, Port Macquarie, Coffs Harbour, Tamworth, and Orange, however being based in Newcastle is highly desirable.
