**About the Role**:
We are now recruiting for a Viticulture Operations Officer to join the dedicated Riverland Viticulture team based at Berri Estates.

This newly created position will support the team in day-to-day operations of grape sourcing and production, including the administration of grower grape & bulk wine payments.

You’ll be experienced developing strong relationships with growers and suppliers to effectively plan and schedule harvesting & trucking operations with external parties to facilitate efficient intake of fruit into the winery during vintage.

**Key responsibilities include**:
During vintage you’ll be comfortable leading site based casual employees including weighbridge staff and booking officers.

Outside of vintage operations, you’ll support the team through reporting and analysis of viticulture data. The role will also have a strong focus on continuous improvement across all aspects of grape supply, production and intake.
- Administer the grape grower & bonus payments, plus process bulk wine payments.
- Prepare and maintain contract grower records
- Organise and schedule harvester and trucking operations for fruit travelling into and out from the region
- Undertake data analysis and reporting as required by the AW Viticulture group
- Coordinate the intake management of fruit into Berri
- Lead the development of and submission of viticultural statistics to regulatory bodies
- Assist Grape Supply Manager Victoria and Commercial and Viticultural Technical Officer as required
- Recruitment, Onboarding, Management and off boarding of seasonal employees.

**What you'll bring**:
You’ll be self-motivated & solutions focused, comfortable working to deadlines, negotiating with stakeholders to support business objectives.

In addition, you’ll be able to demonstrate:

- At least 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Minimum Diploma in Viticulture - Degree desired
- Extensive practical and technical knowledge of viticulture
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and familiar with ESRI/ArcGIS information systems
- Solid commercial acumen
- Confident written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to make decisions, negotiate alternate solutions, and resolve conflict
- Valid driver's license
