About the Department for Correctional Services
The Department employs approximately 2,000 staff and has responsibility for nine prisons and fifteen Community Correctional offices across the state. Our vision is for a safer community by protecting the public and reducing re-offending. Duties
The Team Supervisor is responsible for managing workloads, quality assurance and continuous improvement processes and for ensuring the provision of a high-quality case management service to offenders which complies with Enhanced Community Corrections Service Standards. The incumbent is responsible for providing leadership and workplace supervision to all staff within a Community Correctional Centre and promoting training, performance development and service excellence. The Team Supervisor will provide high quality services to stakeholders and promote Community Corrections positively and professionally to all staff. The Team Supervisor will contribute to operational planning and ensure that all services are integrated with other key areas across Community Corrections.
Special Conditions
- Section 47 of the Public Sector Act 2009 applies in conjunction with other provisions of the act and other applicable industrial entitlements.
- The incumbent is required to satisfactorily complete a National Criminal History Check.
- A current South Australian Driver's Licence is essential.
- A flexible approach to working hours is required.
- The incumbent will be required to work between the hours of 8.45am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday.
- It is expected that some out of hours work may be necessary for which time-off in lieu is available.
- Some interstate and intrastate travel will be required which may necessitate overnight absences.
Requirements
Essential:
- AHP: Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
- PO: Appropriate tertiary degree level qualification in community services, sociology, criminology, justice, correctional practice, social sciences, human services, health or related field.
Desirable:
- Post graduate qualifications in a related field.

AHP3 ($104,180 - $111,746pa)
PO3 ($101,285 - $107,078pa)
ASO6 ($98,478 - $104,165pa)
