**Culture Collection Laboratory Assistant**:
We are currently looking for someone to assist with media preparation for the Cawthron Institute Culture Collection of Microalgae, assisting the team for a couple of afternoons a week.

**About the role**:
We are ideally looking for a high school student wishing to gain some hands-on science experience.

This is a part-time role, working 4 hours per week (over two days) preparing sterile media for our Culture Collection, dispensing media, and other tasks as required to support our staff with maintenance of the collection. There’s an opportunity to work more hours during school holidays if desired.

**About you**:
You will ideally hold NCEA Level 1 in Biology and Chemistry, have an eye for detail and the ability to follow set processes.
