We are in the market for a self-motivated and experienced individual who is able to lead a team in providing efficient and effective regular maintenance to the streetscapes, parks and reserves within the City of Mandurah. You are passionate about your profession and enjoy the rewards of a good challenge. - You lead the team in providing streetscapes, parks and gardens maintenance tasks including:
- Liaising with the Supervisor to implement a regular gardening schedule.
- Implementing correct signage when operating roadside.
- Being accountable for quality and standard of work performance, including productivity and safety.
- You ensure the proper operation and security of materials, plant and equipment.
- You undertake daily regular maintenance and safety inspections of tools and machinery.
- You are skilled in traffic management.
- You provide on the job training and guidance to employees under supervision.
**What can you bring to the team?**
- Certificate III or IV in Horticulture or Turf Management or equivalent.
- Three to five years’ experience of developing and maintaining streetscapes, parks and reserves.
- Previous experience supervising employees and conducting practical staff training.
- Practical experience with horticultural machinery, mowers, and relevant equipment.
- Current unrestricted MR (Medium Rigid) class national drivers’ licence.
- Competent in the use of tablets, smartphones and other electronic devices.
- Current White Card.
- Current Basic First Aid Certificate.
- Current Basic Worksite Traffic Management (BWTM) and Traffic Controller Certificate.
- As part of our recruitment process, you will be required to participate in a full pre-employment medical that includes drug and alcohol testing.
