We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to manage our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. The Bookkeeper will ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and help support the financial health of the company. This position is key to maintaining clear and compliant financial practices.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Transaction Recording**: Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
- **Accounts Payable and Receivable**: Process accounts payable and receivable, manage invoices, and ensure timely payments.
- **Reconciliation**: Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and other financial statements.
- **Payroll Processing**: Assist in processing payroll, ensuring accurate payments, and managing payroll taxes.
- **Financial Reporting**: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to summarize and forecast the company’s financial position.
- **General Ledger Management**: Maintain and balance the general ledger in an accurate and timely manner.
- **Expense Tracking**: Monitor company expenses, maintain records, and provide budget recommendations to management.
- **Compliance**: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies, keeping all records up-to-date.
- **Data Management**: Organize and secure financial data, including maintaining organized physical and electronic records.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- **Experience**: [1-2] years of experience in bookkeeping or a similar role.
- **Technical Skills**: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Excel; familiarity with payroll and tax regulations.
- **Soft Skills**: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to work independently, and strong communication skills.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) designation or similar certification is a plus.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
