**Essential attributes of this role**:

- Be well-informed on current research and literature on early childhood education
- Enthusiasm, caring manner and sensitivity to others' needs
- Practice is based on the Early Childhood Australia Code of Ethics
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Contribute to observations, documentation, and planning
- An ability to maintain a professional attitude to all aspects of their work

**Essential Qualifications**:

- Diploma of Children's Services or working towards.
- Current APPROVED Working With Children Check
- Current Child Protection training
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
