**As our Research Assistant in our**THerapeutic INnovation for Kids (THINK)** **your purpose will be to**:

- Identify and prioritise genomic lesions for study with the THINK Team
- Generate functional genomics tools (e.g. variant U1 snRNA) for mRNA targeting and test these in model cell lines
- Develop cellular and molecular assays to establish the phenotype of splice modulation
- Achieve an outstanding level of competence in all aspects of experimental work
- Produce high quality work which can contribute to publications and to drug target validation

**To succeed you will have**
- Excellent attention to detail with demonstrated initiative and a flexible attitude to work
- Laboratory management skills
- Strong commitment to scientific rigour, being able to plan and execute well controlled experiments and sound interpretation of data
- Technical skills in molecular biology, cell culture and experience in drug target or drug screening programs
- Advanced analytical skills
- Collaborative communication skills, being able to foster open dialogue, teamwork, build positive relationships, and resolve conflict with professionalism.
