We are seeking a talented individual to join our **Workers Compensation**team at **Mercer** **Marsh Benefits.**This role will be based in our **Brisbane**office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days in the office.

The **Return to Work Consultant** provides professional outsourced return to work and claims consulting services to Mercer Marsh Benefits clients through the administration of injury management software; insurer and other stakeholder liaison and back office injury management accountabilities. The role is a position in Workers Compensation consulting and injury management profession, with an opportunity for significant on the job development and career progression.

**We will count on you to**:

- Perform outsourced Return to Work Coordinator functions, managing the return-to-work process for injured workers, including triaging and lodging new claims promptly.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive return to work plans tailored to the needs of injured workers, ensuring compliance with employer obligations and best practices.
- Liaise with key stakeholders, including injured workers, employers, and insurers, to provide updates, gather information, and address concerns throughout the return-to-work process.
- Conduct thorough reviews of claims to assess progress and recommend actions to facilitate recovery and return-to-work.
- Administer injury management software, generate reports, and maintain accurate documentation to support effective injury management practices.

**What you need to have**:

- Tertiary qualifications in allied health.
- Experience in claims management functions at an insurer or employer.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
